This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Better than Wilt and Jerry?--doubtful

Better than Kareem and Magic?--NO WAY

    uuuhhhh why is this news?????

I mean give it a rest all ready!  So these two both have huge egos, couldn't get a long, and had a coach that didn't really give a rip as long as he looked good and made his money.  Both players have repeatedly zinged each other in the press and now Shaq is on another team!

They really should let this go!  The more they whine the worst they look.

To be clear - only Shaq's whining right now.  Kobe is busy trying to get back to June!

Before coach Jackson gets a bad rap...

Remember all, coach Jackson has a reputation of letting players work things out among them self's.

Question: If Shaq was the team captain why did'nt he go to coach Jackson and request a sit down.

My take: We have all seen it before with our own friends and family.  When two people are have having drama issues, there is always one who will take the position of not talking to the other.  Mean while quietly campaining for others to join along side with their opinion of why we should.  After reading today's article Shaq gives the appearance of wanting to enlist Malone, Shaw and others.

During that time period I read many times in the press that Shaq was referred to as the big brother of the two and remained more vocal in the press about Kobe's selfishness and lack of Team Work.

This is what I know about Kobe Bryant, he was always first in the gym and last to leave.  I recall a play-off day game when the Lakers won and after the game some friends and I went to Golds Gym in venice, California  half hour later Kobe walks in with his trainer for a light workout.

Impressive, because most of the other players were chilling at the Cheese Cake Factory doing whatever.  And Kobe is working out.

Hmmmm, when I think about it,  maybe Shaq was jealous of Kobe's work ethic.  And to get the focus off himself he directed it on to something or someone else.

"Thinking" Remember all, Shaq was always considered overweight and the team wanted him to work harder on staying in shape.  "Light Bulb" He pulled the the old Jedi mind trick!

Like I said earlier we have all seen it before with friends & family, but I guess the stakes & consequences of your actions are higher when you play for the LA Lakers and you are on an World Stage.

Well done Shaq, glad you are willing to smooth things over with Kobe, but ez up on coach Jackson! You got us once with the Jedi mind trick using Kobe we wont fall for it again with coach Jackson.

man, Shaq needs to change his nickname to The Big Egotistic. Sorry Shaq, but for most Lakers fans, Magic and Kareem will always be the best.

heh.... if he was *the* guy at that time... he does not need Phil to have a meeting among the 3 of them.  He'll take the initiative and talk to Kobe and work things out.

Blaming Phil and acting like a victim.  What a new low Shaq... What a new low.  You're one big cry baby.

This is nothing but Shaq doing a headfake...

He disssed Kobe on stage a few months ago, remember? Got alot of press and tried to make him look bad for not getting a title vs the Celtics.

This is the first meeting between those two since that incident so Shaq feels bad and wants to make nice by saying "best center guard ever"

Gimmie a break.  Just man up Shaq. Apoligize and move on...

Gotta say west and chamberlain were pretty ggod to (33 wins in a row), along with magic and kareem, but Kobe and shaq make a good argument.
